The technology
How an EMS sculpting machine works
A professional electromagnetic sculpting system creates a rapidly changing magnetic field through applicators placed over a muscle group. The field induces repeated involuntary contractions, far more in 30 minutes than voluntary exercise produces, and the machine controls their pattern, intensity and timing. The DB10, for example, is rated for 20,000 contractions in a 30-minute session; the FE80 for 36,000.
Pad EMS vs. HIEMT
Pad-based EMS sends electrical current through electrodes on the skin. It is the technology in many consumer toning products, and it feels and performs differently from a professional electromagnetic system. HIEMT and HIFEM describe systems that stimulate muscle through a magnetic field rather than current between pads. Every Winkonlaser system in this collection is a HIEMT platform; a cheap listing that just says "EMS" usually is not.
What Tesla ratings mean
Tesla measures magnetic field strength. The DB10 and DB20 run 13 Tesla; the FE80 runs 15 Tesla. A higher number is not the whole story: frequency range, pulse pattern, sustained output, applicator design and cooling all shape how a session feels and how many areas you can treat at once.
Adding RF
Most systems here pair HIEMT with radiofrequency, which warms tissue during the session for skin firmness alongside muscle work. The FE80 lists 5,000 W of RF power; the DB10 and DB20 run RF alongside their 13 Tesla output.
