Check whether a treadmill or walking pad fits your room. Enter the tallest user's height and the machine's deck height to see the minimum ceiling each manufacturer recommends. Part of our free calculators and tools.
How it works
- Horizon Fitness: tallest user's height + step-on (deck) height + about 12 inches.
- Peloton: ceiling at least 20 inches higher than the user's height, for its Tread models.
- NordicTrack: tallest user's height + 16 inches.
- WalkingPad: user height + deck height + at least 18 inches, for walking pads.
- The headline uses the highest rule that applies to the machine type you pick. Walking pads typically raise you 4 to 6 inches. The full treadmill default of 8 inches is an estimate, so measure your own deck if you can.
