About Hume Health
Hume Health builds home health measurement devices and the Hume Health app that reads them. Its about page states the mission as "to make clinical-grade health data accessible, understandable, and actionable for everyone, right at home," and names Jeffrey Lee as a co-founder.
The Hume Body Pod (Hume's own page calls it the Hume Body Pod; the product name is Hume Pod) is a smart scale that uses bioelectrical impedance analysis through the platform and a pair of hand sensors, so the current runs through the arms and torso as well as the legs. Hume lists 45 measurements, including weight, body fat, muscle, visceral fat, body water, basal metabolic rate, heart rate and segmental readings for the arms, legs and torso. It has a 2.8 inch display, a 400 lb capacity, up to 24 user profiles and a rechargeable battery.
The Hume Band 2.0 is a wrist tracker without a screen. Per its listing it records heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen (SpO2), skin temperature, sleep stages and activity, runs up to 14 days on a charge with USB-C charging and is rated IP68.
